Solid State NMR Consumables and Sample Preparation
Doty 4mm DI Rotors:
200mg fine powder sample is needed and preferred to get the best sensitivity. Spacers can be used in the rotor if you have limited mount of sample. If you have Liquids or Semi-Solids for HR-MAS, DI-4 Sealing Cell is required.
Paramagnetic or conductive samples are usually not good for NMR. Please consult NMR staff for more detailed sample preparation procedure.
You can refer this Doty’s website to see which part you need to purchase according to your solid state NMR experiments. Purchasing your own packing tools is required. Here is the price list of 4mm DI rotor parts: Accessories for 4mm DI rotors.
Please contact Doty Sales to purchase your parts.
PhoenixNMR Rotors:
1.2mm rotor parts: 10mg fine powder sample is needed and preferred to get the best sensitivity. Consult NMR staff if you have a semi-solid or gel-like sample.
Paramagnetic or conductive samples are usually not good for NMR. Please consult NMR staff for more detailed sample preparation procedure.
You need purchase “1.2mm rotor assembly“, which contains top/bottom spacers, tip cap, drive tip and rotor sleeve. PhoenixNMR has either low 1H or low 19F background option on the spacers. Purchasing your own packing tools is required. Except the rotor sleeve, other parts are perishable consumables. Please contact PhoenixNMR Sales to purchase your parts.
static holder parts: Consult NMR staff for details. Our machine shop can make those sample holders.
